The Position:

Reporting to the National Sales Manager, the Minex Sales Engineer is responsible for developing the sales of the Minex solution for coal, geology and mine planning in the eastern US.  The Minex Sales Engineer provides product demonstrations and deliver first level training and services. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

·         Manage the end-to-end sales process and methodology - from prospecting, probing, handling negotiations to closing stage.

·         Understand customer goals and challenges and establishes Gemcom`s product as the best solution available

·         Follow up on leads.

·         Build and present customized demonstrations.

·         Respond effectively to RFP’s.

·         Participate in the development and delivery of differentiated customer solutions and presentations

·         Record, track, review and maintain accurate records of customer's product specifications, technical product recommendation, installation issues and customer problems.

·         Monitor, manage and measure key sales performance metrics to ensure achievement of objectives. Analyze sales activity to identify trends, issues and opportunities.

 

 

 

Qualifications:

 

Required:

·         Post secondary diploma or degree.

·         Three to Five years experience in the coal mining industry.

·         Well developed sales skills and understanding of sales methodologies

·         Excellent with problem solving to create opportunities

·         Strong verbal, written, presentation and interpersonal skills.

·         Technical knowledge with an ability to learn quickly

·         Ability to work as part of a team and solve business and technical problems.

·         Must be able to travel throughout Eastern US.

·         Previous successful work with sales proposals and quotes.

 

Preferred:

·         Background in Mining Engineering, Geology.

·         Background in Earth Sciences and mine planning.

·         Background in IT.

·         Previous experience in planning or geological modeling.

·         Positive track record in software sales and/or services for mining industry.
