Meet Our New Brasil Team Members

Our Brasil team has expanded to include Eder Franco as a Principal Consultant, and Luiz Matta, as Senior Business Analyst for Gemcom InSite™.

Introducing Eder Franco Da Silva

Eder Franco comes to Gemcom with over 20 years experience in mine management and consulting for open pit and underground mines.

Eder was a senior mining consultant with Runge Limited in Brasil and a mining manager and internal consultant with Votorantim Cimentos Brasil.

He offers wide-ranging experience in all facets of the mining industry with particular emphasis on system implementation, project management, operations management, cost control, capital investment, contract negotiation, and environmental management.

During his past roles, he has coordinated diverse technical projects as well as implemented programs in quality control, health and safety, environmental management, and NOSA accreditation.

Introducing Luiz Matta

Luiz Matta joins the Gemcom Enterprise Business Unit in Brasil as a Senior Business Consultant. Luiz attributes his success to building strong relationships with customers at every stage of the software implementation cycle.

As an IT specialist, Luiz brings a wealth of expertise delivering IT solutions in Africa, and Central and South America to companies in mining, civil engineering and the automobile industry. Most recently, Luiz has worked on system implementation in international mining projects in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, South Africa, Bolivia, Peru, Chile, and Mexico.

His project background includes designing, installing, and supporting solutions for mining companies including Anglo Ferrous Brasil, CSN, Goldfields, GoldCorp Katanga Mining, and Minera San Cristobal.
